Q. What is silver clay and how does it become solid silver?
A. Silver clay consists of reclaimed silver in the form of microscopic particles with an organic, non-toxic binder, and water. It is a soft, easy to manipulate material like modeling clay that can be shaped with simple tools. Once the piece is designed, it is fired with a hand torch and the binder will burn out, leaving a piece of beautiful pure silver jewelry.
Q. What if I’m not good with crafts?
A. No worries! You will find your inner creative self through the workshop. I will be there to guide you through every step of the way so you can just enjoy the process of creating.
Q. What will I experience in this class?
A. You will learn to create silver jewelry using silver clay. From designing to finishing, you are going to get hands-on experience with silver clay and produce your own handmade, solid silver jewelry.
